Hi - this is a card that I made for my 9 year old nephew. It was not what I originally planned to make but I ran out of time but still wanted something different. It is certainly a lot plainer than the original card idea but in the end I was really really happy with it. I was also going to use all different bright boyish colours but I'm really glad I didn't as I think the simplicity of the design lends itself more to the monochromatic tones.
I am loving these step cards at the moment since making the ones at Chrissy time, but this is my first one since then. You may see a few more in the near future LOL unless I find another fancy idea that I get hooked on.

Birthday Card for a Friend....
Hi all - with everything happening around here at the moment I realised that yet again I'm am being a bad, bad blogger as already a week has passed since I last posted. (:-(( and I was gonna try soooo hard this year to be better LOL) The thing is I'm not really getting any cards made at the moment to blog (*sob*) ....
But then I remembered that I had one or two from around Chrissy time that I haven't yet put on, so here I am..... And I couldn't believe that I hadn't put this one on as I was so proud of it! (that is probably because it is almost completly cased from here. LOL)
It was for a team member so I wanted to make sure it was really nice (in my mind LOL) and I really loved this card (and the original!)
Anyway probably won't be back for another week... maybe if I'm lucky I might get to do a challenge or two, maybe...

KWerner Challenge #38 / Makeesha's Challenge...
Hi all - when I first decided to make this card, I was killing two birds with one stone again ie: combining two challenges, KWerner's colour challenge and Keesha's challenge, which this week was a sketch challenge. But I have missed the deadline for Keesha's :-((
Anyway am reasonably happy with the finished product. :-))

Birthday Card / Challenges...
Here is the card I have made for Leah's challenge. She has a monthly challenge which one would think would be easy to have done by... let's face it, one has roughly a month to do it in, right??? so why am I always missing it LOL. I always think I have plenty of time and then when I decide to sit down and do it, the time has just past... This time I had a card to make for a friend's 11 year old boy and I thought as soon as I saw the colours, that it would be perfect for him. So I have done it!!! YAH!
And then while I was make the pocket section, I thought, "This may be considered a wallet" for another challenge at ABC Challenges which I only came across today and was going to have a go at later... So I'm feeling very pleased with myself :-))))))
All Stampin' Up used.

Team Challenge...
Here is the card I made for our latest team challenge (which finishes today LOL- We went away for five days on a sort-of-spur-of-the-moment holiday) The colours are definitely NOT me, so I'm not really sure what to think of it... But I do like doing things like this as like nearly everyone else says, it certainly makes it a challenge to step out of one's comfort zone and try new things...
The inspiration was a tea-bag packet, so I have made a 'Tea bag' holder. And we had to use Summer Sun, More Mustard, Garden Green and Whisper White and the 'Seeing Spots' stamp set. Veeeeery challenging!!!! LOL
Ps: I also tried to do like Kristina Werner and write my own words instead of stamping... not good.....

Team Challenge...

Hi all - Last week I had the enjoyment of setting a challenge for our team and this is what I gave them - Using Basic Black, Elegant Eggplant, Gold Embossing and a touch of Real Red, they were to make something using the packets as inspiration..... And be inspired they were!!!! Check out my team members blogs to see how we all 'interpreted' the colours. It truly amazes me how everyone 'sees' things and how so very, very different every card is.
I found the colours to be very 'rich' looking (must be 'cause of the yummy, very rich tasting coffee that was inside the pouches LOL) so I have gone for hopefully something very 'rich' looking in design. I also made a 'coffee pouch' (got the idea from here - thanks Kylie - but made my pouch from scratch to fit the coffee packets in) After I finished, I didn't know if I liked the mainly black look so made a card as well to try with the Elegant Eggplant being the main colour. Trust me... It was extremely challenging!!!! LOL - WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!!!.... But in the end I was very pleased with the results.
Is it just me? Now-a-days just about everything I see I consider how it could be interpreted into a card layout / design / colour theme etc.....
