For a Fariy Princess...

Hi again - I apologise for the quality of this photo as it was taken in a rush as we were about to run out the door! Story of my life!!!! LOL. Actually quality not much different from my other posts LOL
Was just a very quick card for my great niece's birthday - but I thought it was cute. I try very hard not to use anything that's not Stampin' Up but this Fairy is so girly!!! But I think I'm going to have to give her away too, to stop me using her!!! LOL. The papers used are SU and so is the wording, "It's Your Birthday" and the background print done in VersaMark using the "Garden Annuals" standard wheel (that you can't see) - The ribbon isn't (still building up my stock in that dept LOL) - I have also gone along the bottom of the "Perfect Plum" with a piercing tool. (again can't really see that either)

April Workshop

Hi - It was workshop time again on the weekend, and hopefully much fun was had by all - I know I certainly had a great time! The ladies again did a fabulous job of the two cards we made. We did a waterfall card which looks tricky, but as the girls found out, isn't at all. Just a little more work involved. There is a great tutorial on SCS by Kathy Logan. The other card pictured, using the SU Seeing Spots stamp set, was cased from a card made by my upline Karen.

If anyone, anywhere in Australia would like to "join in" each month and have a go at making the cards from my workshop, I have made up extra kits and they are available for you to buy. Just email me for payment options and I can have one in the post for you. Also let me know if you would like to be included every month. I can email you each month when payment is due.

The kit has the cardstock cut to size and include all embelisments used - brads, ribbons, etc. Everything needed to make the two cards pictured. (except adhesive)

Unstamped - $12.00 (including postage) (You stamp the images yourself with your own stamps)

Stamped - $15.00 (including postage) (I stamp the images for you)

If you would like to build up your stamp collection, I can order the stamp sets and/or inks used and have them delivered to your door.

Stamps, inks etc used for Waterfall card: (excluding postage)
Bugs and Kisses Stamp Set: $48.95

Double Delight No.2

I would like to share with you, my younger sister's card - I am very proud of her as she is very new to all of this (this is her first card outside my workshop). She liked the slider card that I had made and wanted to make one for her best friend's husband. So she came round tonight and I stepped her through it and this is her card. Nothing like starting out easy with her!!! This slider has been made on the front of an actual card so that it can still be written on inside and not on the small front slider, which I thought was a clever variation. I think she has done a great job and she should be very proud of herself!

Double Delight

This is my attempt at the "Double Slider Card" - Tutorial on SCS by Beate Johns. I have wanted to give this idea a go for a while now and I wanted to make a RAK card for someone so I thought I would make it for that. I am quite pleased with it myself. I don't have a large range yet of stamps, inks or paper (trying to use only Stampin' Up products - which isn't hard 'cause it's all so beautiful - I just wish I had more LOL) so it is a challenge for me with 'every' card to match things up LOL but I'm pleased with the end colour result. The card stock I have used are SU's In-Colours from last years "Vintage Violet" and "True Thyme", "Real Red" and "Whisper White". Inks are "Real Red", "Mellow Moss", "Almost Amethyst", "Lavender Lace" and "Pretty in Pink" (Only inks I have are the Soft Subtles and a couple of the Bold Brights at this stage but I'll get there). Stamp sets used were "Petal Prints", "Greetings Galore" and "Canvas" (background). Does anyone else have as much trouble as I do to get a 'neat' background???? It's a good thing that most of it is covered up LOL.
Everything Stampin' Up including the Brad!

Luv Thy Sisters...

Well there I was the other day, wrapping my older sister's present ready for when she came for tea, when OMG!!! I had forgotten to make a card! (tell me how that is possible????) So this is what I "whipped up" - literally! It took all of 15 minutes and as I was making it I was thinking "this isn't working putting all of these different patterns together" but when I finished I really liked it! So did my other sister who had turned up right at the end of the panic attack. LOL Maybe not everybody's cup of tea but I like it.

Anyway my other sister's birthday was three days later so I had more time (but still did it at the last minute LOL - I wouldn't be me if I was organised! LOL) She likes cards that "pop out/up" so I cased this idea from a tutorial by Diane Zechman on the Scor-Pal site. It's called a "Windshield Wiper Card". When I say cased I really mean copied LOL as it is very very similar to her card (different stamp set and a couple of minor colour changes) but hers was soooo cute!!! She used the SU set "Unfrogettable" which I haven't got but it will have to go on my wish list because it always makes such cute, adorable cards. On that note though, I do love the stamp set I used "Crab & Co" as it always makes cute cards also. It was from a mini catalogue last year and yah!!! it has made it into the new SU catalogue!

Bugs, Bugs, Bugs...

Hi all - I really love this card! The idea has come from a couple of different areas. I just love the bold name with the bugs (sister-in-law cased the idea off the internet - SCS I think) It is a wonderful idea for children as they really love to see their name on their card. The cute little magnifing glass idea is taken from a card we made at one of Karen's workshops (my upline) - thanks Karen. I think that it finished this card off nicely!

This was the first one I made after seeing the bold letter and bug idea. This one I had printed the letters out on the computer and then cut them out. I didn't have the lettering at the time and I think it came up just as nice doing it that way. I went with this colour scheme of blue and orange because of the ribbon which I wanted to use. I love those two colours together for a boy.

Yes... It's Here!!!!

And it's beautiful!!! The 2008-2009 Stampin' Up Catalogue! Mind you, the photo DOES NOT do it justice. Even though this picture looks soooo pretty, the colours are much much prettier. If you haven't got your copy yet and would really really like one (and who wouldn't lol) then it is as simple as sending me an email and for as little as $10 plus postage, one will be on the way to you! How easy! Now more about the catalogue - I did mention it was JUST BEAUTIFUL didn't I - and it is full of lots and lots of new and wonderful ideas, so if you are like me and really need ideas then this is for you! And then don't forget we have a lot of beautiful new stamp sets to play with including all new Hostess sets! And you know the only way to get those is by having a workshop of your own. But you can also have a catalogue party and reap the benefits that way. But wait there's more!.... Lots and lots of beautiful new scrapbooking papers and accessories and when I say beautiful, I really mean BEAUTIFUL!!! I could just go on for hours, but I think you are getting the picture, right? So you know what you have to do if you would like a copy or would like to buy something.... that's right... email me.
