Birthday Step Card...

Hi - this is a card that I made for my 9 year old nephew. It was not what I originally planned to make but I ran out of time but still wanted something different. It is certainly a lot plainer than the original card idea but in the end I was really really happy with it. I was also going to use all different bright boyish colours but I'm really glad I didn't as I think the simplicity of the design lends itself more to the monochromatic tones.

I am loving these step cards at the moment since making the ones at Chrissy time, but this is my first one since then. You may see a few more in the near future LOL unless I find another fancy idea that I get hooked on.

Baby Card...

Here is the baby card I made for the lovely, little Lucy :)

A bit late getting it on here as she is a few weeks old now LOL.

I have used a Sizzix die for the template of the pram and paper pieced it. The sentiment in the middle is printed off the computer as I had no baby messages.

Oh how I LOVE step cards!

Step Chrissy Cards....

Hi all again - here is my 'pride and joy' Chrissy card. I made a couple of these to send to some card making/demonstrator friends. A little adventurous for making more than one and at this time of year but I was very happy with how they turned out. I really wanted something special for these girls as I always get apprehensive when making cards for seasoned card makers.. Yeah, yeah I know, I shouldn't, but I do.... But as I said I was very pleased with how it turned out.

Here is a close up to show the glitter detail (just for fun LOL)

And here is another idea that I got half way through making the other ones. I needed one more card for someone else who loves making things for other people so I thought she would love one of these also.
Ps: All Stampin' Up products
Pss: I got the idea for a step card from Splitcoast Stampers.

July Workshop....

Hi all - Yes can you believe it!!!! I'm BACK!!! Well for one posting anyway LOL

It is nearly time for my next workshop and *HORROR* I haven't put my photos on from last workshop!!!
OMG what is the world coming to....!!!!

Any way enough of the jokes - here are the cards we made at our last workshop. We made a Step card (great tutorial here - YUP you guessed it, SCS LOL) So we made this card which I must say I was very proud of and extremely pleased with how it turned out. :)

Then we made this card which is very similar to one in the main SU catalogue.
And then we made this which is another one of those things that I have wanted to try for a long time. There are many different ones and ideas on the net so I have just made up one using a stamp set that I wanted to use. I have made mine as just a little nick-knack idea to sit up (I gave it to a good friend who collects roosters) but I have seen them made as photo frames and menu card holders eg: a favourite recipe just to name a couple of ideas. So please, if you would like any info on any of the items pictured here eg: measurements I used for Step card, then please don't hesitate to email me as I am more that happy to help out where I can.

Happy Birthday to Whoo!

Hi all - I am so proud of this card! I just love it! I made it about a week ago for a friend who really LOVES owls and have planned to make her a punched owl card ever since we had that arvo playing with the punches...... But then..... I forgot her birthday!!!!!!! Can you believe it!!! I was horrified!!!!!! Her birthday was the day after my DH's in NOVEMBER!!.... So I hope she liked it and forgives me... LOL (I still haven't made my DH a card....)

I have made another one of these cards - in different colours and designs - but I don't think it would have arrived yet so will have to wait to put it on here.

I got the idea for this from a bought card that another friend received, and thought that I liked the idea so went home and had a play with sizings and folds until I was happy with the base.

And just for you Jacqui :) I remembered to write down my measurements:

Start with a sheet 10" x 6" then score and fold along the 10" side at 2", 3", 5", & 7" - almost like making a step card, only sideways.

You could make it 8" long and score at 2", 3", 5" & 6" but that leaves the last panel only 2" long instead of 3" and I preferred the wider panel for putting more on.

Birthday Roses.....

Hi all - This is the other sideways step card that I made. I am so pleased with them. I love how they are a bit different. The only thing with a a bit different is it takes a lot longer to make!!! So one doesn't get to make as many cards as one may like to :}

I made this for a fellow demonstrator whose birthday was just before Christmas. And for once in my life I was reasonably organised and had it made on time ready to post. Can you believe it! I don't know if it arrived in time with the Chrissy post but at least I know I sent it LOL. And now I'm back to my old ways.... :{ am already late with one friend's card. Her birthday was last week and I have planned her card a few times but haven't made one yet. Bad bad girl!!!

And to top it off, I start back at work next week and we have just started re-doing bedrooms! What the?...... Have had six weeks off and hubby three, and now we start???????? So going to be a very busy household over the next couple of weeks..... But don't know how much card making is going to get done.... Never know might inspire me more LOL... We can only wait and see............

A Friend's Birthday....

Hi all - Here is a card I made for a lovely friend who comes religiously to my workshops (Hi Jacqui :-)) This was her birthday card (in case ya didn't guess) and she LOVES purples!! and butterflies... and swirls... and glitter... and..... Plus she also loves pop up/out, anything different type of cards. Just my type of goil!!!! LOL So I made this while I was in my Step card fetish time frame. Pretty???...

Ps: I think I may have gone a little overboard with the glitter on the name! LOL
